About this role Waymark is a Series A startup catering to a vulnerable patient population on Medicaid, who often require mental health and substance use treatment, coordinated care between primary care visits, and aid in overcoming various obstacles to good health. We are in the process of building a data platform that will allow finance and growth stakeholders to identify new market opportunities, care operations leaders to track patient engagement and productivity, and care team members to prioritize patients for outreach and intervention using innovative data science models. As a Data Product Manager, you will be responsible for the product roadmap for the analytics and business intelligence team, and the data science team. You will supervise the common data model and metric library roadmap for the data engineering team, aligning data roadmaps with our Public Benefit Company's overarching requirements and patient needs. The Data Product Manager will serve as the primary interpreter and liaison between data engineering, analytics, data science, finance, customer implementation, and the healthcare operations leadership team. Responsibilities - Develop the product roadmap and function as product owner for Waymark’s analytics and business intelligence roadmap, data science roadmap, and common data model and metric library roadmap. - Conduct agile sprint team ceremonies for analytics team (~3 staff), data science team (~3 staff), and data engineering team (~2 staff). - Collaborate closely with Ops and development teams to articulate product requirements and acceptance criteria for Waymark’s data products and insights. - Cooperate with Operations team to define product success metrics (qualitative and quantitative) and monitor them over the product life cycle. - Collaborate with Finance and Growth team to align the product roadmap with Waymark’s growth trajectory. - Identify and rectify process gaps concerning execution, roll-out, and ongoing project support. Minimum qualifications - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, design, public health or related field. - 4 years of experience in the healthcare industry. - 2 years of product management experience in the health tech industry. - Thrives in ambiguity with a bias towards action and iteration. Preferred qualifications - Understanding of concepts, data and methodologies in Medicaid and/or general healthcare data, especially related to EHR and/or claims data. - Experience managing a data platform product and assessing needed infrastructure investments to enhance data platform scalability. Base Salary Range: $137,500 - $155,000. Pay will depend on various factors, including job location, training, education, and experience. Benefits and Other Compensation: Medical, vision, dental, basic life insurance, and stock options available for the hired applicant. Employees also receive twenty (20) vacation days, accrued over the year and eleven (11) paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Parental leave of sixteen (16) weeks is available for birthing parents after six (6) months of employment, and eight (8) weeks of bonding leave for non-birthing parents.
