The Everbridge Critical Event Management (CEM) AI/ML team creates intelligence products to help decision-makers detect risks from actual or imminent threats to personnel, facilities, supply chain, and technology. We are seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team of software and data engineers.
*This position is fully remote, however candidates need to be located in BC, Ontario or Quebec *
What you'll do:
- Develop NLP and other AI/ML models supporting Everbridge’s risk intelligence automation tools and CEM analytics, planning, and forecasting products
- Lead a group of software, data, and ML engineers to establish data models, secure data sets, and construct data pipelines necessary to power data and analytics product capabilities
- Work with software and data engineers to develop our central machine learning platform
- Mentor junior team members and establish machine learning engineering best practices
What you'll bring:
- Ph.D. in a technical field or bachelor's degree plus 3 years' experience
- 5+ years of experience developing NLP models (e.g. BERT, BART, DistilBERT) in production
- 5+ years of experience with a programming language in a production setting (e.g., Python, Java)
- 3+ years' experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- 2+ years’ experience with use of distributed data processing frameworks (e.g. Spark, Storm)
- Strong computer science, machine learning, and information theory fundamentals
- Experience with tools like Airflow, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus
- Familiarity with GPU computing (i.e. CUDA and cuDNN)
