About the Applied AI Product group:
Our team drives the product strategy for Cruise's core AI technology that empowers our vehicles to operate autonomously and safely. We're responsible for globally launching and scaling our autonomous vehicles (AVs) by collaborating closely with engineering, data science, program, operations, and commercial teams. About the Staff Technical PM role in Applied AI:
As a Staff Technical Product Manager, you'll steer the developments of Cruise's core Perception and Prediction capabilities for autonomous driving. Your task involves working closely with various engineering divisions to apply cutting-edge technology to enhance performance of AVs as we transition from initial public launch to global expansion.
What you'll do:
Refine vision, strategy and roadmap for your product.
Guide executives and major partners towards strategic goals.
Combine technical and analytical insights with product intuition to devise compelling roadmap investments.
Secure support for your roadmap through effective communication with engineering teams, key partners, and executive leaders.
Deliver consistent results through coordinated execution across AV engineering teams in an experimental applied research setting.
What you have:
5+ years' experience leading highly technical products (e.g., machine learning, computer vision or robotics).
Ability to gather crucial product insights through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
Deep understanding of modern software development and machine learning engineering practices.
A BS or MS degree in science, engineering, math, or equivalent technical experience.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to function effectively in ambiguity, creating simplicity and order.
Creativity and curiosity to devise novel solutions and advance industry norms.
Bonus points for:
Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics or safety-critical systems.
MBA, management consulting or equivalent business strategy experience.
The salary range for this position is $193,900 - $285,000, and will depend on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
