We are seeking a skilled and driven Analytics Engineer to join our team. Your role, as a Google Cloud Engineer specializing in Analytics, will be to collaborate closely with our Solutions Architects and Sales team in creating Looker dashboards and other Analytics POCs for our clients. You will have the opportunity to participate in dynamic, fast-paced projects, using state-of-the-art technologies and making a significant contribution to the company's success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop POC & Demo Looker Dashboards and projects, including advanced LookML development.
- Set up, optimize, and address issues in GCP data analytics tools such as BigQuery, and Cloud SQL.
- Research and document data analytics technologies according to customer requirements.
- Collaborate with our team to create robust, scalable analytics solutions for our clients.
Requirements:
- A solid foundation in analytics is highly preferred.
- Experience with Looker and LookML as well as a thorough understanding of Visual Best Practices.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, or Go.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in small group settings.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with GCP ETL tools like Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, or others.
- Experience with Terraform.
- Experience with Project Management and Version Control Tools.
- Ability to showcase some of your code. We appreciate links to GitHub contributions!
- Direct experience in building analytics solutions in a production environment.
