Our Global Data & Analytics (D&A) team is the center for harvesting and analyzing data to guide strategic business decisions for our brands. Through collaborating with partners across a wide range of business functions, associates on our D&A team offer advice that allows our teams to challenge the status quo and remain at the forefront of retail trends.
The Lead Supply Chain Data Scientist will be a part of the data science team within D&A, acting as the subject matter expert for all data science initiatives in the supply chain functional area, including network optimization, transportation & fulfillment optimization, DC logistics, visibility & transparency, etc.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Develop and introduce data science solutions to improve supply chain operations, including but not limited to, transportation, logistics, network optimization, visibility and transparency, etc.
- Mentor junior data scientists or data science interns to develop models, algorithms, and visualizations that enhance supply chain processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure the performance of supply chain data science products.
- Work with stakeholders to identify areas for process improvement; develop and implement solutions that align with business objectives.
- Assess machine learning components with 3rd-party tools in the supply chain space, evaluating their performance and offering recommendations to assist in procurement decisions.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the supply chain organization is leveraging the latest advancements in data science.
- Communicate complex models and data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.
What Do You Need To Bring?
- A Bachelor's degree is required (post-graduate preferred) in disciplines related to data science, data analytics, mathematics, engineering, or other STEM fields.
- 5-7 years of experience in data science, with a focus on supply chain operations and management; experience in a retail environment is a plus
- A strong understanding of various data science models and their applications to the business (regression, clustering, classification, optimization, recommendation, NLP, etc.) ; understanding of demand forecasting & inventory optimization models is an advantage
- Experience in building and implementing data science products in cloud environments (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, etc.)
- Proficient in data processing and modeling languages, such as SQL, Python or R
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions to intricate supply chain problems.
- Basic understanding of data engineering concepts
- Ability to simplify complex technical topics and distill them down for a business audience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in an agile environment

Factors that might be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, your years of experience, your work location, comparison to other employees in similar or related roles, or market demands. The range could possibly be modified in the future.
