Job Description

As a Supervisor on the Data Operations team, you will help our team lead and build a robust foundation of reporting and analytics, assisting internal and external clients make better decisions by utilising data-driven techniques. This role is cross-functional, and will require managing several resources for already structured processes, generating end-to-end insights, and driving bottom-line growth through ensuring operational efficiencies.

The ideal candidate must have strong technical skills in relational databases, API data extraction, and programming in various analytics software, like Python or R. They will automate data pipelines, build visualisations that are aesthetically pleasing, analytically profound and easy to understand, using software such as PowerBI or Tableau, to tell stories and provide recommendations to help end-users optimise their key performance indicators.

To succeed, the candidate must exhibit strong leadership skills, sound technical knowledge, and exceptional soft skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead reporting/analytical end-to-end project initiatives, including project management, executive communication, defining deliverables, designing data pipelines, task delegation, and resource management
  • Collaborate with agency, product, and campaign management teams to define, plan, and delegate processes for end deliverables
  • Develop data pipelines with processes ranging from mining, extracting, cleansing, transforming, to building automatable reporting and analytics dashboards
  • Deliver complex actionable analytical solutions involving heavy data and statistical modelling (e.g. data sampling, segmentation, classification, predictive modelling, etc.)
  • Lead the discovery and expansion of new and existing methodologies, tools, and algorithms
  • Manage relational databases to organise, store, and process clean data for internal and client stakeholders
  • Manage/coach/train offshore reporting and analytics resources to ensure already outlined project tasks are fulfilled and solid communication with key stakeholders is taking place
  • Communicate/present analytical findings and recommendations to audiences ranging from executives to working level team members

Qualifications

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Math, Analytics/Business Intelligence, Economics, Finance or other quant related field
  • Preferred Graduate degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Data Analytics, proficiency with analytics software, and related education

Skills:

  • Preferred experience with platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Social Platforms (Facebook/Twitter etc.), Big Data cloud environments, and other similar CRM platforms
  • Fluency in SQL with a strong understanding of relational database constructs
  • Proficiency in programming software (Python / R)
  • Proficiency with data visualisation tools such as Tableau/PowerBI
  • Proficiency with MS Office products; especially Excel skills (Macros, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot)
  • Preferred experience with Alteryx data cleansing/pipelining

Experience:

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including pipelining, cleansing, structuring, manipulating, automating, and analysing various types of data
  • Applied data science, modelling, analytics and reporting experience, implementing and supporting data platforms to aid internal stakeholders and clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to share technical results and recommendations to audiences at varying levels of analytic understanding.
  • Experience in analytics and report scheduling/automation using tools such as Alteryx/Databricks/Crontab/Stored Procedures

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $70,000 - $110,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at this point of posting. In line with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will provide medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
