Your Required Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in the professional or academic work environment with geo-spatial applications in data science, data analytics, software engineering, or machine learning engineering. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, SQL, or R - Experience with geo-spatial data operations including buffering, overlay, and spatial joins, and with applying spatial statistical methods to uncover spatial patterns and trends - Experience in remote sensing, LiDAR, and analysis of satellite and overhead imagery - Familiarity with distributed programming languages such as Spark, GeoSpark, and large-scale geo-spatial data processing tools like Apache Sedona - Experience in extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes and tools - Experience with cloud services, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud - Knowledge of managing and querying data using spatial databases such as PostGIS - Ability to obtain a security clearance - Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geosciences, Data Science or Computer Science Ideal Additional Qualifications: - Experience with data lakes, data warehouses, or data lake houses, and with enterprise DataOps, DevSecOps, and MLOps processes to operationalize and monitor data science models - Experience with Agile development, C++, or Java - Experience with satellite operations, unmanned or autonomous systems - Experience working with the Department of Defense - Experience with CI/CD, including Git, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes - Knowledge of software and tools used for image analysis or remote sensing - Knowledge of cuSpatial - Top Secret clearance - Master's degree in Spatial Data Science, Geosciences, or Geographic Information Systems Please note that selected applicants will undergo a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The projected compensation for this position ranges between $73,100 and $166,000 annually. The position can be either remote or hybrid, with occasional needs to work from a Booz Allen or client site facility.
