About the Role: The Research Engineer for TuSimple’s Infrastructure team will create and maintain data infrastructures and pipelines, while contributing to the broader goal of autonomous trucking. What You Will Do: - Responsible for data mining and curation. - Develop and maintain data pipelines and dashboards to provide operational & business metrics and insights to meet R&D and business needs. - Develop and maintain Event Diagnosis to support the auto-triage process. - Manage crucial data pipelines including dataset parquet converter and dataset auto-tag, which are the foundation for further data analytics, machine learning, and so on. - Build applications, data ingestion, data visualization, data pipelines, data lakes, machine learning, data mining. What You Will Need: - Ability to work in TuSimple’s San Diego Office three days a week. - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field is required. - Minimum 4 years of directly related experience is necessary for this level. - In-depth experience with 3D design and PLM tools, CATIA 3DX or CATIA V5, design release, and a robust product lifecycle management. - Experience with different structural elements and systems. - Experience in designing and analyzing structures. - System level understanding and holistic approach to development. - Advanced understanding of the manufacturing mechanical systems within the automotive industry. - Ability and eagerness to work in a cooperative environment and rapidly growing R&D team. Pay Transparency: Please note that individual salaries will vary within the following range based on factors such as location, business needs, and the candidate's skills, education, and experience.
