Summary Gopuff's engineering team is establishing solutions that fundamentally change how people buy their everyday items. As an Analytics Engineer at Gopuff, you will be responsible for building and maintaining the bridge between our data and the rest of our organization. You'll play a key role in guaranteeing the integrity, reliability, and usability of productionalized data for all teams making critical data-driven decisions. This role is part of the Analytics Engineering team within our Engineering organization, and provides an opportunity for substantial impact as the future success of Gopuff largely rests on our capability to execute and expand operationally. Our stack presently includes stitch and various data engineering pipelines for extraction and loading, snowflake, dbt, and looker. Responsibilities - Be our in-house data expert, understanding deeply our data warehouse and data processing layers. - Collaborate with data analytics, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to comprehend fully each team’s data needs and translate these into infrastructure and tools that enable a data-driven culture. - Ensure data integrity, availability, transformation logic, and efficient data access to cater for the expanding needs of the organization. - Identify gaps in current data, create data product specs and collaborate with Engineering teams to put data tracking into action. - Implement automation where possible to enhance data pipelines and analyses. - Create testing and monitoring systems to ensure data quality and build documentation to ensure data accessibility to all stakeholders. Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems or other related discipline. - At least 2 years of experience in building data models integrating diverse and complex data sources, using tools such as dbt. - Minimum 1 year of experience in building and maintaining reporting and dashboards in Looker. - Expertise in SQL and database table design - capable of writing structured and efficient queries on large data sets. - Strong knowledge in data warehousing concepts, big data technologies, and analytics platforms. Experience with Redshift, Azure, and/or Snowflake highly preferred. - Familiarity with git workflows. - Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and translate business needs and ideas into manageable work tasks. - Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - A quick mover, team player, lifelong learner, and contributor. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with ETL/ELT tools (bonus points for dbt!) Gopuff embraces creative problem-solving and in-person collaboration for quick and informed decisions. This role will follow a hybrid work schedule, enabling you to exhibit your creativity and build solid relationships with teams in a cross-functional way three days a week (Tuesday - Thursday) from one of our eight hub locations!
