Senior Frontend Engineer, AI Foundations

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our AI Foundations team and assist in creating AI-drived features. The AI Foundations team aims to build Webflow's AI-driven products in alignment with our mission to empower individuals worldwide with development skills. This role will work closely with product engineers, product managers and designers to identify and integrate AI solutions that improve the Webflow user experience. This person will work hand in hand with colleagues in our Product Engineering and Design organizations while nurturing an environment of excellence, care, and curiosity.

About the role

• Location: Remote-first (United States; BC & ON, Canada)

• Our cash compensation for this role ranges from $130,000 - $178,000 for most US locations and $144,000 - $198,000 for US locations with a higher cost of labor. All figures quoted are in $USD and apply to workers based in the United States. Pay is based on several factors including market location, and may vary depending on job related experience, knowledge, qualifications, and skills.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, AI Foundations, your tasks will include:

• Staying updated on AI/ML advancements to gauge their relevance for the organization's strategy.
• Working with product engineering to pinpoint and implement AI solutions that enhance user experience and address specific use cases.
• Aiding in the integration of third-party AI APIs into the product architecture.
• Writing high-performance and accessible UI components (React).
• Developing an in-depth understanding of our architecture and codebase while also becoming familiar with our product and its users.
• Creating and maintaining unit and integration tests (Mocha, Jest, Cypress).

About you

You’ll succeed as a Senior Frontend Engineer, AI Foundations if you…

• Have 5+ years of experience in developing and deploying web applications, with a proven record of delivering products to market. Bonus points for experience with 0-1 product launches!
• Have experience developing products with generative AI APIs
• Boast excellent organization and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
• Have tackled complex issues requiring a detailed understanding of the existing architecture
• Can debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack
• Take pride in owning and driving projects to business impact
• Have demonstrated experience building intricate web systems
• Are familiar with one or more Javascript type systems
• Are comfortable working in an agile, failure-tolerable environment
