Associate Director, Technology & Data Lead - Remote
The Technology and Data Lead will oversee and manage the technology platforms required to support the Meetings, Congress, and Events Team. This includes ensuring the platforms are efficient, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs. The incumbent will lead ongoing improvements and product roadmaps, analyze and recommend new platforms, lead their implementation, and provide training and support to end-users throughout the transition and post-implementation phases.

This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (there may be some restrictions based on legal entity). Please note that this role does not provide relocation assistance. Working hours and travel expectations (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager. This position will require up to about 5% travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Business owner for technology platforms required to support Meeting, Congress, and Events operations, including Centris (HCP Program database & submission workflow), On Demand Content Portal, Registration Portal, Webcast, Virtual meeting portal, CVENT, etc.
- Handle product development roadmaps to ensure platforms evolve to meet business needs and are in line with industry best practices.
- Ensure the platform has an efficient and seamless interface and user experience for Field Users, Speakers, and Attendees.
- Lead ongoing platform enhancements, feature updates, product additions, and platform testing.
- Manage data flows in and out of technology platforms, including Roster, STRATUS (Transfer of Value reporting), Master Data Management, etc.
- Resolve any technical issues identified with the systems by collaborating with appropriate stakeholders and vendors.
- Analyze current platforms and evaluate the feasibility and suitability of new platforms to meet changing organizational needs.
- Research and recommend the most appropriate technology platform based on functionality, scalability, security, and compatibility with existing systems.
- Oversee technical implementation of new platforms, including system architecture design, data migration, integration with other systems, and customization.
- Develop and implement testing plans to ensure new platforms meet required standards and resolve any issues or bugs.
- Deliver training to end-users and support during the transition and post-implementation phases.
Role Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in platform management, technology implementation, and project management.
- Familiarity with data management and integration, including experience in working with data flows and databases.
- Experience in leading technical implementation projects, including system architecture design, data migration, and integration with other systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills for effectively managing platforms and collaborating with stakeholders.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience managing technology platforms in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, providing familiarity with specific compliance and regulatory considerations.
- Strong knowledge of technology platforms commonly used in the industry, such as Centris, CVENT, webcast, and virtual meeting portals.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, conducting vendor evaluations, and overseeing vendor performance.
Compensation and Benefits Summary
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $144,000.00 and $216,000.00 per year. While salary ranges are effective from 1/1/24 through 12/31/24, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
