Big Data Engineer

Job Summary:

Our company is in search of a skilled Big Data Engineer to become a part of our team. The ideal applicant will have the responsibility of designing, creating, and introducing our exclusive Fin Crime solution powered by Big Data for our clientele. This individual will cooperate closely with the software development group, data analysts, and product managers to comprehend requirements, and set up and implement our Fin Crime solution. The tasks of the applicant are as mentioned below -

Responsibilities:

• Establish and sustain data pipelines capable of transferring data from chosen locations (while upholding security protocols) into our Big Data powered financial crime solution.
• Design, put into practice and standardize procedures to alter and purify data for pipeline creation and reporting.
• Develop and set up data models and schemas to assist analytical applications and data visualization tools.
• Monitor and solve issues relating to our proprietary Big Data financial crime solution in a timely manner.
• Create and implement security and data privacy measures to safeguard sensitive data.
• Create and sustain documentation and training materials for end-users and stakeholders.
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in Big Data, data analytics, and data engineering.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a field related to it.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in designing, configuring, and introducing Big Data solutions, preferably those related to financial crime solutions.
• Strong programming abilities in Java, Python, or Scala.
• A comprehensive understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL procedures.
• A thorough understanding of Big Data technologies and their architectures, including Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work in a rapidly paced, team-concentrated surroundings.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience with AWS is an added advantage.
