Data Scientist, HR Talent Science at Marriott International
Job Summary: Join Marriott International as a dedicated Data Scientist within the HR Talent Science team. Candidate Profile
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in data science or a related field.
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or Operations Research preferred.
- Strong proficiency in statistical methods and software (R, Python, Java).
- Experience with SQL and familiarity with technologies like Jupyter Notebooks, Docker, Spark, TensorFlow, AWS, SageMaker.
- Proven ability to develop strategic visions and roadmaps.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and independent risk assessment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in compensation data analysis.
- Knowledge of pay transparency/CSRD laws.
- Experience with Oracle APEX and familiarity with Oracle HCM.
Core Work Activities
Application Building:
- Design and implement full-stack applications for automation of compensation and data analytics.
- Develop user-friendly interfaces and ensure robust back-end functionality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and perform application performance tests.
Compensation Analytics:
- Provide analytic support for compensation-related projects using statistical techniques.
- Develop tools for pay equity compliance and fair pay practices.
- Collaborate with teams to integrate tools effectively into business processes.
Human-Centric Design:
- Work across functions to address business issues with innovative compensation solutions.
- Iteratively design and test user-centric tools for decision-making.
- Prepare detailed specifications to transform complex processes into actionable models.
