About the Team

As a DevOps Engineer, you will join our Chapter Platform Engineering, a group of specialists delivering DevOps capabilities across our product teams. This role involves improving E.ON’s DevOps tech stack and enhancing cloud automation. You'll work with our Digital Solutions I Future Energy Home team to develop and operate software managing home energy devices, such as photovoltaic inverters, batteries, EV charging wall boxes, heat pumps, and meters. These solutions integrate with a variety of vendors’ devices, incorporating centralized insights, analytics, and control mechanisms.

Role Responsibilities

  • Implement CI/CD and DevOps practices for Future Energy Home Data Team focusing on ETL pipelines.
  • Support in automating and maintaining BI Tools like PowerBI and Google Looker Studio for data quality metrics through automated applications.
  • Assist data engineers in building and operationalizing data self-serve infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Ensure data security for deployed data products by implementing data access and anonymization methods compliant with DPO recommendations.
  • Operationalize Analytical Products (BI dashboards and Data Science ML models) and establish data quality metrics.
  • Contribute to the “Community of Practice” to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Several years of experience in building enterprise-grade GitLab CICD pipelines and Data Version Control for Python data pipeline applications (ETL).
  • Extensive experience in building BI dashboards and monitoring agents for PowerBI and Google Looker Studio.
  • Proficiency in GCP BigQuery, Databricks (e.g. PySpark), Snowflake, Python Dask & Pandas, Python-Pytest, and Python Behave.
  • Initial experience in implementing and using ABAC tools like Immuta, Segment, or RBAC tools (e.g., Okta, AWS IAM, AWS Cognito).
  • Strong knowledge of AWS Cloud services such as AWS SageMaker, Cloudformation, CDK, AWS StepFunctions, AWS-Cloudwatch, and Blue-Green/Canary deployment strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to support the “Community of Practice”.
