Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead data science best practices on individual project engagements
• Ensure model and code quality, along with proper documentation
• Design and implement forecasting models for limited-time menu items using time-series or machine learning techniques
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate forecast solutions into supply chain processes
• Analyze large datasets to identify supply chain improvement opportunities
• Apply machine learning and statistical methods to enhance forecast accuracy
• Communicate complex concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders
• Stay updated on data science and forecasting methodologies, especially for promotional item forecasting

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• 3-5+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in a Quantitative or Technical Discipline with a GPA of 3.2 or higher
• Strong analytical and research capabilities
• Comprehensive understanding of statistics and statistical modeling
• Knowledge of modern machine learning and time-series forecasting techniques
• Moderate programming skills in SQL, R, and/or Python
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams using strong written and verbal communication
• Eagerness to learn and solve problems quickly
• Attention to detail and a knack for systematic thinking and process design
• Commitment to creating impactful change

Preferred Qualifications

We prefer candidates with:

• Master’s Degree in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related field with a GPA of 3.2
• Experience using Databricks for model creation and automation
• Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems
• Experience in creating forecast models with limited historical data
• Prior supply chain experience in demand forecasting and/or inventory management
