Senior Data Engineer Responsibilities
- Design, model, and implement data warehousing activities to deliver the data foundation that drives informed decision-making.
- Design, build, and launch sophisticated data models and visualizations that support various use cases across different products or domains.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to understand data needs and represent key data insights visually in a meaningful way.
- Define and manage SLA for all data sets within areas of ownership.
- Create and contribute to frameworks that improve the efficiency of data logging while working with data infrastructure to resolve issues.
- Determine and implement security models based on privacy requirements, ensuring safeguards are in place, addressing data quality issues, and evolving governance processes within areas of ownership.
- Solve challenging data integration problems using optimal ETL patterns, frameworks, query techniques, and sources from structured and unstructured data sources.
- Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems for the easier development of data artifacts.
- Influence product and cross-functional teams to identify data opportunities that drive impact.
- Work on diverse scope problems where data analysis requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Sciences, or related field and 60 months of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in a data-related occupation. Foreign equivalents are accepted.
- Five years of experience in the following areas:
- Custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance
- Object-oriented programming languages
- Schema design and dimensional data modeling
- Writing SQL statements
- Analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies
- Managing and communicating data warehouse plans to internal clients
- Python programming

The salary range for this position is $209,720 to $235,400 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Individual pay is determined based on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
