Join Our Team as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer/Data Scientist at Oracle

At Oracle, we are pioneering transformative cloud solutions using advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence. We are looking for a passionate Senior Machine Learning Engineer/Data Scientist to enhance our OCI Enterprise Engineering Content, Search, and AI Services team.

In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and supporting significant corporate services and platforms like Oracle.com, Java.com, Enterprise Cognitive Digital Assistant Services, and AI Service Desk, among others. Your New Role

You will take charge of the entire model development process from data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing, to training models and deploying them to production settings. This role is designed for leaders passionate about staying current with the latest developments in AI and who thrive on solving complex problems.

Responsibilities:

• Understand business objectives and develop models to achieve them, along with metrics to measure their progress.
• Utilize advanced machine learning principles and tools to create high-quality generative AI user experiences.
• Analyze and choose the most effective ML algorithms for problem-solving and prioritize them by success probability.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis to understand data thoroughly and prepare it for modeling.
• Ensure data quality in collaboration with data pipeline engineers and define rigorous validation and testing strategies.
• Implement necessary preprocessing or feature engineering on datasets, as well as data augmentation pipelines.
• Manage training of models and hyperparameter tuning to optimize performance.
• Develop error analysis and devise strategies to improve model robustness.
• Utilize DevOps tools and CI/CD methods for efficient deployment of models to production environments.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
• Expertise in Python and familiar with ML libraries and frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, and Pandas.
• Proven experience with deep learning, NLP, computer vision, speech recognition, and big data visualization and manipulation.
• At least 4 years of experience in building and deploying machine learning models, with a preference for candidates with experience in cloud environments like OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Demonstrable skills in developing solutions using transformer-based architectures and cutting edge LLM technologies.
• Strong communication skills, capable of managing projects with global teams, and adept in Agile methodologies.
