Senior Data Governance Analyst (Remote) at Fresenius Medical Care

Join the Global People Analytics & Experience Center of Excellence (GPA&E COE) team at Fresenius Medical Care and be a key player in shaping our workforce insights and solutions. We are looking for a Senior Data Governance Analyst who will serve as a subject-matter expert and collaborate closely with our business units to develop and maintain a global Human Resources (HR) data governance framework. This role is pivotal in supporting the delivery of solutions that enable key business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute GPA&E COE strategies focused on global data governance and data quality for HR data.
  • Define and further develop the governance framework for global, regional, and local HR data using your subject matter expertise.
  • Implement and manage the data dictionary and business glossary for global HR, providing guidance to data consumers and SMEs.
  • Partner with the team to resolve data issues, communicating solutions to data consumers across the organization.
  • Promote a strong understanding of Fresenius Medical Care’s data ecosystem and best practices based on policies and standards set by the HR Data Governance Program.
  • Continuously improve end-to-end processes by staying updated on current trends and best practices in data governance and data quality.
  • Prioritize and ensure the timely fulfillment of all assigned requests, tracking the status transparently (e.g., within Jira or Dovetail).
  • Ensure data privacy and information security requirements are met in all evaluations and escalate requests for approval when necessary.
  • Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for various groups on data governance and data quality topics.
  • Support special projects as defined by business needs, such as engagement survey data review.

Education and Required Credentials

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Advanced Degree desirable) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience and Skills

  • 5 – 8 years of related experience.
  • 4+ years of exposure to various HR and non-HR related departments data (e.g., Compensation, Benefits, Labor Relations, Finance, etc.).
  • 2+ years of experience in SQL and relational databases.
  • Proficiency in metadata and data quality tools such as Atlan, Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Ataccama, Talend, etc.
  • Experience in building and implementing enterprise-level data warehouse solutions based on business requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms, business intelligence tools, data warehousing, and data visualization.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, data quality, and metadata management.
  • Familiarity with data privacy and security regulations, while maintaining high integrity and confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and training skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
