Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a computational science (Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication) with up to 3 years of working experience as a Data Scientist.
• Comprehensive understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms, including Regression, Classification, Ensemble Methods, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning.
• Proven experience in building production systems using statistical analysis, data modeling, regression modeling, time series analysis, and deep learning neural networks.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, Java/Scala, with a strong understanding of the Hadoop Framework and Apache Spark for developing machine learning models. Ability to manipulate and process data using libraries like Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy. Demonstrated expertise in SQL and/or NoSQL data modeling.
• Experienced in processing, filtering, and presenting large datasets with a focus on performance, scalability, and availability.
• Expertise in business visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau, with a good command of connecting scripting languages to BI tools.
• Knowledgeable in Natural Language Processing and chatbot development.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Spark and the Hadoop framework.
• Proficient in coding using PySpark or Scala with Spark libraries.

Role and Responsibilities

• Automate big data analytics tasks using Apache Spark.
• Utilize BI tools like PowerBI and Tableau to visualize and explore data.
• Automate report generation using PowerBI and Python.
• As a member of the Research and Innovation team, leverage audit data to detect anomalies and predict future values according to business requirements using Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques.
• Collaborate with the web development team to deploy solutions.
• Engage in chatbot development, image processing, and web scraping based on firm requirements.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• At least 2 years of experience in industries such as Finance, Banking, or Accounting, or relevant project work within the 3 years of required experience.
• Master’s Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Data Science or Big Data Technology.
• Familiarity with PowerBI.
• Hands-on experience with Hadoop, Spark, Python, and NLP.
