About You:
Ensure balance between profitability and availability of agave for Tequila and Mezcal, based on the balance between agave requirements, agave sugar cost, and timely delivery at own and TPO distillation operations, based on financial premises and category needs, while leading or co-leading the S&OP process in the agave chapter.
About the Role:
- Lead S&OP process in the agave, with a clear focus on ensuring agave quantity and quality availability while reducing unnecessary capital costs (inventories) along the sourcing and distribution process.
- Develop and manage inferential and predictive analysis of main agave attributes (ART content, weight, maintenance cost), to integrate the final sugar profitability equation for the category.
- Lead daily agave inventory levels to balance cost and service level to the distilleries, minimizing excess agave in the waiting areas for unloading.
- Anticipate and respond to distillery requirements, as well as supplier sourcing disruptions.
- Develop and maintain performance metrics to evaluate agave supply chain performance and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery for agave requirements.
Experience:
- Bachelor Degree
- 8 years of experience in Logistics for transnational companies.
- Proficient in Spanish and English
- Experience with DRP (Distribution Requirements Planning) and MRP (Materials Requirement Planning) tools and processes.
- Strong data analysis capability, including clear evidence of experience applying inferential and predictive statistics for business decision-making.
- Strong leadership and communication.
- Experience mentoring a team and driving outstanding team performance with a strong result-delivery focus.
- Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
