Role Overview:

As a key member of our Data Systems team, you will contribute to advancing ground truth generation systems using machine learning. Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team including other research scientists, software engineers, and hardware engineers to design impactful technical solutions within our fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate high-quality data through computer vision and machine learning techniques.

• Design and prototype innovative data collection systems to enhance machine learning applications.

• Work collaboratively to comprehend data requirements and develop efficient machine learning solutions.

• Enhance the efficiency and quality of ground truth data for AR and VR input use-cases.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

• PhD in Computer Science or a related field, with notable projects published in machine learning, deep learning, and/or computer vision.

• At least 5 years of industry experience in cutting-edge research and development in these areas.

• Expertise in programming with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Extensive experience in C/C++, Python, C#, or similar languages.

• Demonstrated experience in working with data for machine learning and improving data quality.

• Broad technical knowledge in machine learning and optimization.

• Strong ability to translate research into practical applications in computer vision, machine perception, or machine learning.

• Excellent collaborative skills, with experience in cross-group and cross-cultural environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in joint hardware-software developments and rapid prototyping.

• Recognized results demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, or publications at renowned AI conferences.

Compensation and Benefits

Meta offers a competitive salary ranging from $177,000/year to $251,000/year plus bonuses, equity, and benefits. The compensation package corresponds to your skills, qualifications, and location.
