Job Title: AI Research Scientist, Neural Interfaces (PhD)

We are eager to welcome a new Research Scientist who is passionate about shaping the future of neural interface technology. This role offers the unique opportunity to lead groundbreaking research aimed at enhancing the capabilities of our neural interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct applied research to further develop neural interface technologies.
• Implement quantitative research methods to refine and progress our key research areas.
• Work closely with engineering and HCI teams to transform fundamental science into viable new technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

• PhD in Computational Neuroscience, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proficient in scientific computing libraries (e.g., SciPy, PyTorch) and machine learning frameworks (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow).
• Strong foundation in quantitative methods, including statistics and mathematics, with a capability for rapid learning and application of new technical skills.
• Proven independent research ability with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Must secure work authorization in the country of employment by the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in cross-functional team collaboration and communication.
• Knowledge of signal processing and familiarity with real-time data handling.
• Expertise in cluster computing for large-scale machine learning modeling.
• Outstanding record of achieving significant research outcomes, evidenced by publications, patents, or similar achievements.
• Demonstrated coding expertise through internships, competitions, or significant open source contributions.
