We, at Amazon Robotics, are looking for uniquely talented and motivated data scientists to join our Global Services and Support (GSS) Tools Team. The team concentrates on improving the supportability of Amazon Robotics solutions through automation, with a single-minded goal of simplifying the issue resolution process for our global network of fulfillment centers. Candidates will closely collaborate with software engineers, operations teams in fulfillment centers, system engineers, and product managers in the development, qualification, documentation, and deployment of operational models, metrics, and data-driven dashboards. Hence, candidates must have the technical competence to quickly learn new BI tools and programming languages for interfacing with different data access layers for metric calculations, data mining, and data modeling. Paid Time Off (PTO) 4. 401(k) Plan We're open to hiring candidates who are able to work in one of the following locations: Boston, MA, USA Basic Qualifications - BS/MS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Information Systems, Business Intelligence or a related technical field - Familiarity with best practices in data analytics and reporting, data integrity, data analysis, data mining, and experimental design documentation - Proficiency in writing ANSI SQL code for creating metrics and dashboards - Experience working with Business Intelligence platforms like Tableau or PowerBI - Experience with data analysis/statistical tools such as Python, R, SAS, or Matlab - Comfort dealing with ambiguity and progressing amidst uncertainty - Proven success as an independent performer and contributor within a high-performing team, exhibiting the ability to dive deep and develop innovative solutions for process challenges Preferred Qualifications - MS in Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or in a highly quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Operations Research, Systems Engineering, Physics), or BS along with 3 years of experience Amazon is dedicated to maintaining a diverse and inclusive workplace.
