Job Description: Analytics Engineer

We are searching for a mission-driven Analytics Engineer to join our Data Platform team. You will develop cutting-edge analytical data products by leveraging a wide range of datasets and fostering key business relationships, ensuring actionable insights are delivered to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain robust data models for reporting, self-service analysis, and customer-facing products
  • Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and business goals
  • Ensure consistency in data testing, versioning, and metadata management within our data mesh
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of analytical data products
  • Share knowledge and best practices within the team

Who We're Looking For:

  • Proficient in SQL; Python skills are a plus
  • Experience working with and modeling complex datasets in data warehouses (preferably Snowflake)
  • Previous experience with dbt and Airflow
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills
  • Ability to derive clear objectives and requirements from broad challenges
  • Passion for solving complex data problems and an interest in climate datasets
  • A self-starter who thrives in a constantly evolving environment, ideally with early-stage experience
