LaunchDarkly is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Analytics Engineer to become a key member of our dynamic data team. Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to provide valuable data insights that drive significant business outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative data-driven solutions to tackle critical business challenges using our data warehouse, analytics tools, and scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with company stakeholders to enhance business results in their respective areas by delivering creative, technical solutions to complex challenges.
  • Translate quantitative analyses and findings into easily understandable visuals, written documentation, and other data assets for non-technical users.
  • Offer recommendations to enhance the reliability, usability, and performance of the Data Team’s technical infrastructure.
  • Build strong relationships with your team and refine best practices, including naming conventions, data modeling, and data quality testing.
  • Empower users across the organization to self-serve data requests using our explorable data sets.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Scientist, or comparable role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Physics, Math, Economics, etc.
  • Ability to balance humility with high standards for work quality.
  • A curious and growth-oriented mindset towards learning and teaching.
  • Competence in understanding, resolving, and communicating both technical and business issues.
  • Experience with data modeling and warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in Snowflake (SQL), Python, and data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with advanced statistical techniques.
  • Comfortable working in DBT and AWS Data Tools.

Compensation

Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones for Level P4:

  • Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or New York City Metropolitan Area: $173,000 - $204,000
  • Zone 2: Boston, DC, Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Seattle: $156,000 - $184,000
  • Zone 3: All other US locations: $147,000 - $173,000

In addition to salary, we offer Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), health, vision, and dental insurance, and mental health benefits. We operate with high trust and transparency, allowing us to publish pay ranges to best align with your needs. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, degree level, and location.
