Basic Job Functions

This role focuses on data analysis and automation. The key functions include:

  • Identifying efficient process engineering opportunities through data modeling and applying Industry 4.0/Advanced analytics concepts.
  • Enhancing data quality, equipment utilization, reliability data analysis, and performing data correlation.

Education and Experience Requirements

We offer flexibility in educational qualifications. Ideal candidates may possess:

  • An Associate Degree in a technical discipline with relevant experience.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with relevant experience.
  • An MS Degree in a technical discipline with relevant experience.
  • A PhD Degree in a technical discipline with relevant experience.

Required Skills and Competencies

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A proven track record in effective problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of development and reliability engineering systems such as FMEA and SPC.
  • Proficiency in statistical data analysis and statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, SAS, Matlab).
  • Programming skills in languages like Python, Matlab, R, and JavaScript, and experience with SQL server, C#, and data visualization tools such as JMP, Tableau, SAS.
  • Experience with standard data science and machine learning packages.
  • Familiarity with machine learning models and packages (e.g., Scikit Learn, XGBoost, Keras, Pytorch, TensorFlow, Statsmodels).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in high-volume ramp-up and/or technology transfer.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.

Essential Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Adhering to all safety and environmental procedures.
  • Leading discussions with cross-functional teams to achieve effective problem-solving.
  • Designing and analyzing statistical experiments.
  • Providing engineering support for high-volume manufacturing globally.
  • Analyzing data trends and identifying data-driven solutions.
  • Implementing production solutions for efficient metric monitoring and visualization.
  • Developing advanced data models for solar panel wattage prediction.
  • Utilizing Industry 4.0 elements to enhance process productivity.
  • Developing and scaling proof-of-concept projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationships

This position may include direct reports.

Travel Requirements

Domestic and international travel as required.

Estimated Annual Salary Range

$64,000 - $90,000
