About The Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Analytics Engineer who enjoys deep diving into data to discover valuable insights and thrives in a high-speed, data-driven environment. This role is crucial in supporting decisions based on data by analyzing vast and complex data sets, producing actionable reports, and offering valuable insights to key stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Question the status quo and drive decision making backed by data.

  • Perform comprehensive analyses of data to identify trends, opportunities, and problems across all business areas.

  • Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytics tools to provide insights into key performance indicators and assist business decision making.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify business opportunities based on data-driven insights and propose suitable metrics to measure performance.

  • Develop and implement product testing strategies to inform product development and shape business decisions based on insights and trends.

  • Manage the entire data lifecycle, from data collection and processing to applying insights to make informed decisions.

  • Establish and promote best practices in analytics instrumentation and experimentation.

Your Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, product management, or relevant field.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using SQL, Python, and/or R.

  • Experience working with extensive and complex datasets.

  • Hyper-analytical mindset with a high attention to detail and a curiosity to explore data and discover insights.

  • You're a highly motivated, outcomes-driven self-starter who thrives in a high-pace environment and can deliver successful results with minimum guidance.

  • Well-developed business sense with the skill to understand and analyze commercial opportunities.

  • Excellent communication skills that enable clear presentation of complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Additional benefits include experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI, working in an agile development environment, and familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.

  • We offer a competitive base salary within the NYC range of $80,000 - $150,000, and a similarly competitive range in other locations. Your salary will be commensurate with your experience, and will include a generous early-stage equity package, plus benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage.
