Your Team and Role:
The EII Global Strategy & Business Intelligence team leads business strategy and spearheads initiatives across regions and divisions. The Senior Data Analyst will be a pivotal part of the team, playing a key role in evaluating and analysing data that support the business. This person will collaborate with business leaders to assess all accessible forms of data intelligence that guide our strategy, product, and distribution, with the objective of improved analytics and insights to foster growth.
BlackRock is seeking a candidate who is high-energy, self-motivated, and excited about working in a dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting. Strong technical skills with demonstrated hands-on experience will form a key foundation, coupled with the confidence to organize project timelines and comprehend dependencies.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Assess existing internal intelligence and evaluate external data sources for gap identification.
2. Work with various internal data platforms to devise client insights.
3. Collaborate with partners in collecting and evaluating data supporting strategy teams to determine key performance indicators.
4. Formulate and build data-driven business intelligence and competitor insight.
5. Engage with other EII teams and functions across multiple regions.
6. Participate in devising client behavior analysis and identifying portfolio model usage to support strategy across all client channels and product segments.
You have:
1. 5+ years professional experience or equivalent academic experience; diverse backgrounds including those from outside financial services are welcomed.
2. Knowledge and interest in solving analytical problems using quantitative methods.
3. Comfort in manipulating and analyzing complex, high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varying sources.
4. A flexible analytic approach allowing for outcomes at various levels of precision.
5. Ability and interest in delving deep into intricate data models and ETLs to develop solutions to streamline, scale and automate existing or new processes.
6. Fluency or willingness to swiftly learn at least one programming language such as Python.
7. Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools like Tableau.
8. Forward-thinking with attention to detail and a desire to improve processes.
9. Multitasking ability and prioritization skills.
10. High degree of professional discretion, integrity, and judgement.
11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork and relationship-building skills.

Our hybrid work model
