An amazing opportunity has come up within our Commercial Business Intelligence Team for a BI Data Analyst! As part of the Exposure Management, Pricing & Insight department, the team offers a shared Business Information service providing reporting, insight, and analysis. A bit about the job: We are in search of a highly numerate individual with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Our team is particularly thrilled to be supporting the development of various projects using a diverse range of new technologies. Within Commercial BI, we are continually re-evaluating processes to pinpoint areas for improvement and innovation. Data Analysts aid the Commercial Business through delivering accurate regular reporting, collaborating with stakeholders to define data requirements, and responding to ad-hoc requests. The team transforms data to offer substantive insight to the business to assist in decision making. Aviva promotes a "smart working" policy, where we spend roughly half of our time working in an office, and this role is based in Perth. Skills and experience we’re looking for: An analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, providing substantive insight. Knowledge of one or more coding languages and tools such as SQL, Python, R. Higher education or relevant work experience in Mathematics, Data Analytics or another STEM subject is desirable. Ability to communicate intricate ideas clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing to individuals at all levels. Experience in insurance or the financial industry is beneficial.
