The Opportunity

Join the Delegated Authorities (DA) Centre of Excellence Team as a DA Bordereaux & Data Manager. This exciting role offers you the chance to collaborate with various stakeholders within Underwriting, Sales & Distribution, Governance, Finance, Credit Control, and Operations to manage data and processes for delegated underwriting arrangements across the UK.

As a DA Bordereaux and Data Manager, you will lead, motivate, and develop the Bordereaux team. You will also be the main point of contact for data queries, resolving issues while expanding your knowledge of the Zurich DA landscape.

Managing a team of 6 (Bordereaux handlers and data analyst), you will oversee activities such as exposure/data accuracy reviews, Reinsurance & Solvency II reporting, BAU processes, and meeting governance requirements. Your role will be crucial in transforming data processes and improving our overall operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee Bordereaux team operations, ensuring timely processing and resolution of queries.
  • Coordinate back office setup for new arrangements, including processes, accounts, systems, and onboarding procedures.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to reconcile Written & Paid Bordereaux against cash received.
  • Ensure operational procedures and adherence to controls.
  • Oversee governance, workflow, and periodic reporting within deadlines, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to data and reporting activities, including Reinsurance & Solvency II reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve internal and external queries regarding outstanding items.
  • Work with senior management to enhance reporting processes, controls, and systems.
  • Implement new procedures, maintaining and improving internal controls for compliance.
  • Lead personal development and performance of six direct reports, contributing to business objectives.

What Are We Looking For?

  • Experience in the Delegated Authorities market, particularly DA operations.
  • Excellent understanding of Data Quality, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong communication skills, engaging with various internal stakeholders, including the Leadership Team.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work autonomously and contribute to team objectives.
  • Experience in coding is an advantage.
  • Adaptability to change and new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
