At Amazon Logistics, we're creating a top-tier last mile operation, significantly enhanced by Amazon Flex. Amazon Flex operates directly with independent contractors – known as delivery partners – to fulfil deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, individuals can now be their own boss, delivering Amazon packages. Amazon Flex operates through a mobile app integrated with our advanced logistics systems. This enables delivery partners to register, schedule delivery times, and be guided through their deliveries with in-app mapping and navigation, among other features. We are hiring a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to expedite our expansion of the evolving Flex business. This individual will construct new business intelligence solutions from start to finish. The ideal applicant will thrive on working with large data sets, utilizing these data to derive insights, answer business queries, and stimulate growth.
Key responsibilities involve:
* Designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale, automated, user-friendly systems, reports, dashboards, etc. that support our analytical and business needs pertaining to forecasting and pricing.
* Using analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions to aid us in meeting our strategic objectives.
* Writing high-quality SQL code to obtain and analyze data from database tables (mainly Redshift), learning and understanding a broad range of Amazon’s data resources.
* Developing queries and visualizations for ad-hoc requests and projects, as well as ongoing reports.
* Providing thought leadership and business analysis support as required. The successful candidate will show strong business acumen, experience in constructing reporting and analytical setups, strong communication skills, the capability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and the capacity to operate in a fast-paced, continuously changing environment.

Basic Qualifications:
* 3+ years of data analysis and interpretation with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
* Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Quicksight, or similar.w
* Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
* Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
* Experience using SQL to extract data from a database/data warehouse and Python for data scripting in preparation for modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
* Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Our compensation considers labor costs across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $79,600/year in our lowest geographic market, up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay depends on several factors, including market location and may be adjusted according to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon compensates comprehensively.
