Business Process Data Analyst (12 Month – Maternity Cover)

Salary & Benefits: Salary £38,916 - £48,645 per annum, dependent on experience. Role Responsibilities:

  • Act as the department's point of contact for acquiring consistent performance metrics and data across all Water Distribution teams and processes.
  • Define key performance measures in alignment with operational processes and objectives, collaborating with Water Distribution managers and leaders at all levels.
  • Develop management information (MI) dashboards in Microsoft Power BI for clear performance visibility across all Water Distribution teams.
  • Transform data into actionable information through ongoing analysis to understand performance drivers, root causes, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Address ad-hoc MI/Data/Reports requests to support business cases and change delivery.
  • Collaborate with CI Analysts to identify, analyze, implement, and track progress of improvement opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in building reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and Excel, including data collation from multiple sources.
  • Strong ability to interpret and analyze large data volumes.
  • Capability to present MI in formal reports and management meetings.
  • Exceptional numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with clarity in data presentation.
  • Outstanding IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues at all levels, including senior leaders and directors.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships internally and externally.
  • Independence and teamwork skills, capable of working under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
