The Role of Chapter Lead Data Science

As a Chapter Lead in Data Science, you’ll be playing a dual role at ING. Not only will you manage and develop a team rich in diversity and skills, but you'll also collaborate closely in project delivery, enhancing your team’s expertise in Advanced Analytics. Your leadership will ensure that our analytics capabilities align seamlessly with organizational objectives and client needs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Tribe Lead and Product Lead to refine and advance Data Science capabilities.
- Manage resource allocation across projects in conjunction with other Chapter Leads.
- Foster career development and engagement among chapter members to achieve both personal and company goals.
- Lead by example through hands-on involvement in data science projects within retail domains such is lending and personalization.
- Champion continuous learning and improvement across your team.
- Recruit and retain top talent, guiding interviews and selection processes.

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

- Master’s degree in a technical or business field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Econometrics.
- Proven experience in managing teams within Agile and matrix environments.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in retail data science.
- Fluent in Python and Spark; exceptional command of the English language.
- Agile/Scrum familiarity.
