Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior Chatbot Technical Lead for Flash to lead the development and design of our chatbot applications, catering to Western Digital employees across various business domains. In this role, you will manage the overall Chatbot platform, sustain vendor relations, and ensure the chatbot’s technical health, performance, and progression. Ideal candidates should possess robust analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen focus on user experience, and a relentless passion for technology and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, plan, and execute the chatbot product roadmap.
  • Develop the integration layer and APIs for third-party service connectivity.
  • Create advanced conversational interactions to solve customer challenges through Text UI, providing personalized and context-aware real-time information.
  • Design comprehensive conversational flows, including error management and user intent understanding.
  • Maintain robust relationships with technology vendors while collaborating closely with the broader team on technical decisions.
  • Work alongside Technical Project Managers to navigate and resolve technical challenges, ensuring timely and high-quality product delivery.
  • Monitor and report on chatbot performance metrics to stakeholder and company leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent substantial professional experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience as a software engineer, with at least 3-5 years focused on chatbot development.
  • Proven experience in working with APIs and understanding the software development life cycle within Agile/SCRUM frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • A fervent passion for technological innovations and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, work collaboratively in team settings, and perform effectively under pressure.
