Job Title: Clinical Data Manager

The Clinical Data Manager will oversee all activities related to clinical trial data management, including CRF design, database and edit check development, query generation/processing, user acceptability testing, reconciliation of CRF and electronic data, and database cleaning activities. This role is part of our Clinical Affairs department and can be based in Sunnyvale, CA, or remotely.

  • Plan and implement the data management portions of clinical research projects
  • Develop systems for organizing data to analyze, identify, and report trends
  • Collaborate with clinical leads, CRAs, and the statistical department to ensure accurate data acquisition and well-documented study databases
  • Identify and resolve issues that could affect trial results or completion, and suggest solutions for protocol deviations

Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a Scientific Discipline
  • 2 to 5 years of clinical data management experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, or biotech environments
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in learning new databases

Desirable Qualifications:

  • General knowledge of FDA regulations
  • Experience with web-based Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems
  • A strong understanding of medical terminology, human physiology, and laboratory testing

The salary range for this role is $64,000 to $100,000 (USD). This range reflects our best assessment of possible compensation at the time of posting and may be subject to change. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
