About the Department

From negotiating airport contracts to optimizing routes and schedules, our Commercial department is at the heart of our operations. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities. Our decisions directly impact the smooth running of the airline. This role will be based at Ryanair's Head Office in Airside Business Park, Swords.

Role Overview

We are currently seeking an analytically-minded and commercially astute Commercial Data Analyst to join our Commercial department. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Analytics, you will play a crucial role in shaping department strategy. You will conduct analytical work, collaborate across departments, and provide the Yield team with actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to achieve Load Factor and Yield objectives.
  • Analyse business performance using models related to load factor and financial yield data.
  • Develop an Experimentation pipeline to drive additional revenue.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists from Ryanair Labs to enhance solution architectures and business goals.
  • Contribute to Analytical Roadmap execution and input from the business side.
  • Partner with other Commercial teams to improve scheduling and route development.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience with data visualization and statistical analysis tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, DAX, SAS, or Stata.
  • Exposure to R/Python.
  • Proficiency in SQL querying and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience translating business requirements into analytical problems through solution prototyping.
  • A degree in Statistics, Applied Sciences, Aviation Management, Finance, Economics, or related fields.
