As a Data Analyst at Maritz, you will be responsible for comprehensive data management tasks, including data collection, aggregation, dashboard development, and analysis of Maritz Business Events transactional systems and data warehouses (ESP, EIQ). This position demands proficiency with “big data” software, such as SQL, Python, WebFOCUS, and Snowflake. You will create and maintain specific data analytic queries, data stores, and a library of executive report formats, both standard and custom. This role focuses on delivering actionable analysis and insights for operational processes as needed. Note that this position has no direct reports or budgetary responsibilities.
The Data Analyst will report to the Manager of Data Analytics. You will interact with account teams on assigned events and collaborate with both operations and IT teams to extract and analyze the necessary data. You will also work closely with the Data Analytics team to refine techniques and results.
Utilize reporting software (SQL, Excel, WebFOCUS, SSRS) to assist the Data Insights team in developing both enterprise and client-level reports. Collaborate with operations to understand client needs and requests. Engage with the IT team to build requirements, gather data, and compile data needs. Use Redshift data through IDE software to create and support custom reporting for our eventBit clients. Collaborate with the eventBit team to confirm reporting requirements and generate necessary output.
Employ data software (SQL, Excel, WebFOCUS) to support the Data Insights team in dashboard development for both enterprise and client levels. Work with operations to discern client needs and requests. Partner with the IT team to review requirements, gather data, and construct data models. Utilize WebFOCUS or other data visualization tools to craft appropriate charts, tables, and graphs as defined by business requirements. Adjust dashboards to meet client or analytic needs.
