Data and Resources:

As a Data Analyst, you will gain access to:

  • Over 8 million patient records via the Mount Sinai Data Warehouse
  • The BioMe Biobank Program, featuring over 30,000 patients with whole exome sequencing data linked to longitudinal clinical data

You will have the opportunity to develop your own research projects and collaborate on both local and international studies.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and writing custom applications to meet database requirements for data entry, management, and reporting
  • Assisting in the development of data management plans and guidelines to ensure data accuracy and quality control
  • Identifying and resolving data management issues during research studies
  • Providing technical support and training for staff on electronic and remote record-keeping systems
  • Supporting medical students, interns, residents, and faculty with queries and statistical analyses
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current regulations and technologies in data management
  • Writing and preparing manuscripts and other materials for various audiences
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with 2-3 years of experience in a quantitative science-related field (e.g., biomedical informatics, clinical informatics, machine learning, biostatistics, genetics, etc.)
  • Experience in biostatistics/machine learning techniques, with a preference for published work and/or available code
  • Expertise in deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras)
  • Proficiency in programming and statistical software, such as R and/or Python
  • Formal training in computer science, statistics, or epidemiology
  • Familiarity with the publication process
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in spoken and written English
