About the Role:

Join Tillster as a Data Analyst and become pivotal in transforming data into actionable insights across our platform. You will lead the charge on Data Democratization, enhancing and maintaining our data products, and collaborating closely with various business teams to streamline reporting processes utilizing platforms such as Looker.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Development:

• Develop and refine data exploration and dashboard capabilities for stakeholders in Marketing, Product, Finance, Engineering, and other departments.
• Enable non-technical users to build dashboards and tackle critical business challenges using Looker technology.
• Design and implement advanced data measures and dimensions to meet diverse business requirements.
• Establish and uphold coding standards, conduct code reviews, and ensure the integrity of data across multiple business areas.
• Optimize data queries and infrastructure to ensure efficient use of cloud resources and maintain accurate, up-to-date data explorations and dashboards.

Infrastructure and Pipeline Maintenance:

• Write performant SQL queries and manage data architecture to support scalability and multi-tenant access.
• Develop and troubleshoot data pipelines using SQL, Python, and orchestration tools like Jenkins.
• Constantly enhance ELT processes and maintain rigorous standards for data integrity and reliability.

About You:

Our ideal candidate carries a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering, coupled with at least one year of experience in a similar role. You should have robust SQL skills, experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Google Cloud), and proficiency in Python, Looker, and LookML.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in additional BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or MicroStrategy.
• Prior involvement in scalable BI platform projects including automated testing and advanced software deployment techniques.
• Background in consulting, training, or teaching in technical or analytic fields.
• Familiarity with serverless technologies such as AWS Glue and Lambda and programming in R, Ruby, or JavaScript.
• An advanced degree in a quantitative discipline is a plus.
