Role Description: Data Analyst
As a Data Analyst at OnTheMarket, you will analyze and interpret data to generate actionable insights that drive our business strategies and decisions within the real estate industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data from internal databases, third-party sources, APIs, and other platforms to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Clean and preprocess data by removing duplicates, handling missing values, and standardizing formats for analysis.
- Utilize statistical methods, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to uncover trends within large datasets.
- Create visually appealing and informative dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Apply statistical techniques such as hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, and predictive modeling to identify relationships and forecast trends.
- Develop and maintain predictive models to support business forecasting, customer segmentation, and pricing optimization.
- Interpret data trends and provide actionable insights and recommendations for business improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, product development, and finance to align analysis with business objectives.
- Conduct data quality checks and ensure data integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
- Implement data governance practices and resolve data quality issues.
- Perform ad-hoc analyses and generate regular and ad-hoc reports, KPI dashboards, and performance metrics for business monitoring.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degrees (Master’s, PhD) are a plus.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, quantitative methods, and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, and Excel.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Experience with CI/CD processes and automated testing.
- Familiarity with functional programming (e.g., Clojure) and Google Analytics.
- Understanding of database concepts, data structures, and SQL for data retrieval.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., Redshift, PostgreSQL) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
- Strong communication skills for translating technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and data quality standards.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
