We are currently growing and seeking to onboard a driven individual to join our team based in our Brampton office. The Data Analyst will work collectively and collaboratively with our IT Development team. Responsibilities: - Gathering, organizing, and analyzing data from various Load boards, identifying areas of opportunity and supporting business decisions. - Analyzing large amounts of data and recommending broad-based innovative improvement initiatives. - Performing ad hoc analysis, interpreting and communicating results clearly. - Collaborating with the engineering team to automate daily monitoring of models in production, helping to troubleshoot issues and make necessary improvements as needed. - Building and troubleshooting advanced SQL queries in Snowflake. - Analyzing freight carriers and lanes based on capacity and utilization, insurance, price, safety, and service among others. - Analyzing data related to efficiency process improvement and freight network design. - Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis. - Clearly communicating design and development strategies to all stakeholders and providing them with education as needed. - Researching data and preparing analytics based on the division of trucking operations. - Preparing recommendations for improving efficiency and current processes. - Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across different systems and sources. - Interpreting business requirements and conducting analyses to support strategic and tactical objectives. - Identifying areas for process improvement and optimization to enhance data quality and usability. - Constructing tables, views, and reports from multiple data sources to enable key decision-making. - Generating standard monthly reports for review and approval by internal stakeholders. Requirements: - 2+ years of experience in technology, data analytics or a related field. - 2+ year of Snowflake data cloud analytics experience, including practical, hands-on use of the Snowflake Data Cloud is an advantage. - At least a College Diploma or Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science or a related field. - General understanding of databases (MySQL, SQL Server and Snowflake). - Snowflake and Pyspark experience is beneficial. - Experience in the Logistics/ Transportation or Supply Chain industries is preferred. - Professional experience with reporting packages (Power BI, Tableau, Matillion etc.), databases and general programming languages, plus experience in data mining, cleaning, and segmentation is beneficial. - Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding operational environment, even without detailed direction. - Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills along with excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills. - Ability to function independently with little or no supervision as well as function within a team environment.
