Position: Data Analyst, Technology Consulting - Data & Analytics (Data Governance & Controls) - Financial Services Office (Manager)
We are looking for a Data Analyst to transform the way our clients manage and utilize data. This role involves architecting comprehensive data strategies, enhancing risk control, and enabling information intelligence with modern technologies. You will address complex business issues and drive growth across the financial services sector. Key responsibilities include:
- Defining data and analytic strategies through assessments and devising remediation solutions based on identified gaps
- Improving data supply chains and reengineering processes
- Managing and coaching diverse professional teams
- Ensuring project task and timeline accountability
- Proposing and implementing new technologies to enhance existing business processes
- Developing thought leadership through white papers, points of view, and proof of concepts
- Engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders
Employment Type: Full-time
Workdays: Monday to Friday
Hours: 40-45 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates must have:
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience; or a Master’s degree in similar fields and 4 years of related work experience.
- 4 years of experience in the banking, capital markets, insurance, or asset management industry.
- 3 years of experience with at least one of the following:
- Distributed Processing (Spark, Hadoop, EMR)
- Traditional RDBMS (MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- MPP (AWS Redshift, Teradata)
- NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, Titan)
- Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Platform, Databricks)
- Data Governance, Lineage, and Quality (Collibra, Solidatus, Informatica, Alation, Snowflake, Ab Initio, One Trust, Big ID)
- 3 years of experience with technologies for data ingestion, storage, mining, warehousing, big data analytics, manipulation, or visualization.
- 3 years managing teams through product/project management life cycles including requirements, design, development, and testing.
- 3 years quantifying business improvement areas resulting from optimization techniques through business analytics or statistical modeling.
Domestic and regional travel up to 60% to meet client needs is required.
