The role of the exceptional Data Analyst involves conducting full lifecycle analyses, which includes requirements, activities, and design. Data Analysts will be responsible for developing analytical and reporting capabilities.

They will also oversee performance and quality control plans to identify areas for improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports
  • Developing and implementing databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
  • Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems
  • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Filtering and “cleaning” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Working with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities
  • Coordinating with the engineering department to deliver functional solutions and resolve any issues for the operations and warehouses teams.
  • Creating support and training documents for internal and external users.
  • Making innovative recommendations to expand product base and vision
  • Suggesting ways to track product use and its effect on end users
  • A reliable problem solver that can ensure a high return on investment (ROI.)
  • Need to be confident, perceptive, creative, and have a knack for discerning which ideas will and won’t work.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in Data Analysis or Business Data Analysis.
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Strong knowledge of, and experience with, reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Proficiency in statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate large amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Skillful at queries, report writing, and presenting findings
  • A background in software development and program management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Agile framework.
  • Experience with SQL for easy data analysis.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Aptitude for problem-solving.
  • Understanding of project management tools, like ClickUp, Jira, or Trello.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics
