About the Role: Data Analytics Engineer
As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will:
- Be part of a small team that owns and maintains data pipelines and infrastructure for the entire company.
- Collaborate closely with various teams across Natron, including Data Engineers, Analysts, Test Engineers, Process Engineers, Reliability Team, R&D Team, and others.
- Own and develop robust and scalable analytics solutions.
- Contribute to our mission of building a company and a product to be proud of.

Position Details
This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage data analysis pipelines and models.
- Apply electrochemical theory and statistical analysis to create new algorithms for calculating initial and lifetime battery performance metrics.
- Craft compelling visualizations for process parameters and product performance metrics.
- Collaborate with operations, product, technology, and R&D teams to meet their analytical needs, including identifying KPIs and supporting root cause analysis.
- Ensure data quality and documentation for your areas of ownership.
Experience and Skills Required
- 2+ years of industrial or academic experience in developing data analysis and visualization tools.
- Working knowledge of electrical circuits and/or energy storage devices such as batteries.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL query writing.
- Familiarity with version control software like Git.
- A bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering field, preferably Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or similar.
- A proactive, can-do attitude with a track record of delivering project deliverables on time in a fast-paced startup environment.
Nice to Have
- Strong understanding of electrochemistry and battery performance testing.
- Experience with JMP or other statistical analysis tools.
- Experience with MATLAB.
- Familiarity with dbt (data build tool).
- Familiarity with Dagster, AirFlow, or other similar data orchestration tools.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $106,500 to $155,500. The final salary will be determined based on your experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, market data alignment, and other business factors.
