Purpose:
At Aztec Group, we aim to deliver standout client service and truly understand the needs of our clients. To continually improve our onboarding approach, we are seeking a skilled Data & Accounting Analyst to join our Client Onboarding Centre of Excellence.
The successful candidate will be integral to various aspects of the client onboarding journey, including data migration, report testing, financial reporting, and application setup. This role will support onboarding for migrations and new structure setups across our jurisdictions, markets, and services.
We expect the role holder to actively seek and implement best practices into our onboarding processes, ensuring a continuous improvement mindset within the Client Onboarding Centre of Excellence. This will be bolstered by opportunities for relevant training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Data & Accounting Manager and Senior Data & Accounting Analysts with executing the data migration process for transitioning new clients to Aztec systems from previous service providers or for first-time outsourcers.
- Reconcile and transfer data, including general ledger mapping, transaction types, and investor allocation rules.
- Assist in resolving data extraction or loading issues and troubleshoot any issues that arise during data migration.
- Design and test financial reports based on client requirements, including capital call and distribution notices.
- Collaborate with the Onboarding Centre of Excellence team to ensure optimal system setup for all new clients/entities/structures across platforms like FIA, Yardi, and Viewpoint to enable full functionality for clients.
- Work alongside other Client Services areas to ensure the adoption of best practices and identification of automation opportunities.
- Escalate issues promptly that could affect the successful delivery of the onboarding process.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fund administration.
- Experience in data migration and using related platforms, including financial reporting software (preferred but not required).
- Preferred accountancy experience, but not mandatory.
- Keen interest in data management technology.
- Market awareness and knowledge of Aztec’s jurisdictions, products, and services.
- Strong communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
- A team player aligned with Aztec Group values.
- Ability to quickly learn new information, processes, and procedures.
- Proven track record in meeting deadlines and proactively identifying and resolving problems.
- Continuous improvement mindset with experience in identifying process and efficiency improvements.
- No supervision or line management of staff required.
Training:
- Completion of the Transformation Toolkit provided by the Aztec Academy.
- Potential completion of project management/continuous improvement qualifications as part of the individual’s development plan.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Enhanced client satisfaction as reflected by NPS score/onboarding questionnaire.
- Successful execution of onboarding and adherence to client KPIs/SLAs for each journey.
