What You Will Be Doing:

As a Data Engineer at Xeneta, you will:

  • Design and implement scalable and reliable data architectures to support advanced analytics and business intelligence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new data sources as per evolving needs.
  • Ensure data integrity and efficiency across all phases of development, testing, and maintenance of our data infrastructure.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation to uphold data accuracy and quality.
  • Create robust data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing, optimizing for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Develop data governance policies aligning with industry standards and advocate for adoption of emerging technologies and techniques in data engineering.
  • Document data architectures and processes, and provide guidance and training on best practices to team members.

Your Profile:

Your Experience:

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, with expertise in designing scalable data architectures.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with data pipeline and workflow management tools like dbt and Airflow.
  • Strong skills in SQL data modeling and experience with cloud services such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • A deep understanding of the Snowflake architecture and ecosystem.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications from Snowflake and dbt.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python and Bash.
  • Experience with specific AWS cloud services and implementing data governance.
  • Familiarity with Terraform.
