Our client is a renowned player in Europe's automotive market. Together, we are developing a middleware application designed for the independent automotive aftermarket. This innovative solution ensures seamless integration of end-user IT infrastructures and real-time product catalog updates.

This versatile application facilitates instant data processing and synchronization across various platforms. It serves as a vital middleware component in B2B integration scenarios, featuring front-end elements, REST APIs, and locally running Windows services.

Job Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer specializing in the automotive domain, you will:

• Investigate new technologies and design complex solutions with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with modern data stacks to develop robust, well-designed technical solutions and data governance processes.
• Communicate effectively with the customer’s team.
• Take responsibility for delivering major solution features.
• Participate in requirements gathering and propose optimal architecture strategies.
• Lead the data architecture implementation.
• Develop core modules and functions to design scalable and cost-effective solutions.
• Perform code reviews and write unit and integration tests.
• Scale the distributed system and infrastructure.
• Build data platforms using AWS cloud services.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you need:

• 4+ years of strong experience with Python for data pipelines and related tools like Pandas.
• Experience as a Data Analyst.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS infrastructure and tools for creating serverless data pipelines, mainly for batch processing.
• Hands-on experience with IaaS tools, preferably AWS CDK or Serverless Framework.
• Experience building ETL pipelines for analytics and internal operations.
• Experience building internal APIs and integrating with external APIs.
• Practical experience with distributed application concepts and DevOps tooling.
• Proficiency in working with the Linux operating system.
• Effective communication skills for explaining technical concepts to non-technical business leaders.
• A strong desire to work in a dynamic, research-oriented team.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Your application will stand out if you also possess:

• Certification as a Solutions Architect or Data Analytics professional.
• 2+ years of experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Airflow.
• Experience with DAGs and orchestration tools.
• Experience developing Snowflake-driven data warehouses.
• Experience building event-driven data pipelines.
