Job Description: Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Gunderson Dettmer, you will play a crucial role at the intersection of technology, law, data, and innovation. This position offers the unique opportunity to architect the modern legal firm’s data infrastructure, enhance data-driven applications that address legal practitioners' needs, and integrate these tools into our data warehouse. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and manage comprehensive ETL processes, ensuring optimal performance.
• Create sophisticated data integrations between diverse cloud-based platforms using iPaaS tools.
• Enhance and maintain enterprise data warehouses and cloud infrastructure for optimal scalability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with various teams to streamline data processes and ensure the delivery of high-quality data products.
• Continuously improve data quality controls, implement best practice solutions for reliability and usability.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience in ETL process management.
• Expertise in iPaaS, API technologies, data transformation tools, RDBMS platforms, and noSQL databases.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with additional experience in Mongo Atlas queries being advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and additional Snowflake platform features.
• Background in financial services, professional services, or legal environments.
• Knowledge of the venture capital sector or related fields.
