Job Description

Sia Partners is hiring a Data Engineer to support the development of the Data Science Business Unit's activities.

You will be expected to participate in Sia Partners' Data Science missions at our clients, as well as in the development of our Software-as-a-Service products Heka.ai. You will accompany Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and DevOps Engineers in data-intensive projects, in order to meet technical challenges around storage, flow, and data processing. You will actively contribute to the technological, architectural, and governance choices to meet the challenges of scaling Data projects.    

The work will cover the following topics:

• Data pipelines : development of scripts in Big Data ecosystems
• Infrastructures & Services suited to Machine Learning: technological watch and implementation of solutions useful to Data Scientists in the training and availability of their Machine Learning models
• Python programming : development of server-side executed tools (mass data processing, data exposure via APIs, ...)
• Cloud Services: choice of architecture, use of storage & computing services

Qualifications

Graduate of an Engineering School or a high-level training course in the field of information technology, you have a first experience of at least 2 years in Data, DevOps, Cloud or Software Engineering.

• You have a good level in Python, allowing you to qualify, enrich, and process data.
  • It's a plus if you know another programming language
• You master relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQLServer, …)
  • It's a plus if you know another database paradigm (Wide-column, Key-value, …)
• You have experience with distributed computing tools, such as Hadoop or Spark or you have experience with Machine Learning tools, such as Tensorflow or Torch
• It's a plus if you have experience with the services of at least one Cloud service platform (GCP, AWS, Azure)
