The Ecosystem and Operational Risk team, belonging to the Value Added Services (VAS) department, is hunting for inquisitive, creative, and talented technologists to join us. This position is meant for a Senior Consultant Data Engineer with substantial development experience, who will concentrate on discovering novel ways to manipulate data. Essential Functions

• Collaborate with team members (Product Managers, Architects, Analysts, Software Engineers, Project Managers, etc.) to formulate and implement data-driven business solutions.
• Oversee the development procedure from beginning to end, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, innovative solutions that meet requirements, correspond with the architectural vision, and comply with all relevant standards.
• Participate in defining and clarifying requirements with the Business to ensure mutual understanding and fulfill their needs.
• Produce architecture and design documentation.
• Assist in design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential issues.
• Interact with other engineering teams to determine a unified approach to continuous integration including build automation, test automation, and deployment automation.
• Work in tandem with senior technical staff and Project Managers to identify, document, plan for, and manage risks and issues until resolution.
• Communicate technical solutions, capabilities, and features in business language. Deliver clear and prompt updates on status, issues, and risks.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
• 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 8+ relevant years of experience
with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA) or 5+ more years of experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• Demonstrated knowledge of successful design, architecture, and development of data pipelines
• Experience in creating data driven business solutions and solving data problems using a broad
variety of technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, MongoDB, NoSQL, as well as traditional data
technologies (RDBMS) like MySQL or Oracle DB is a plus.
• Experience developing large scale, enterprise class distributed system or subsystems that require
high availability, low latency & strong data consistency computing.
• Ability to program in one or more scripting languages such as Python and one or more
programming languages such as Java or Scala
• Design and development skills with Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Presto and Map
Reduce
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Automated Test tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Git,
Selenium, Chef is desirable
• Experience in Graph processing technologies and graph databases such as GraphX and Neo4j is a
plus.
